Paterno family asks for release of ALL emails…

Kind of a last grasp When you start questioning motives for leaks instead of rebutting what was in the emails.

Not so sure anyone in that family was/is clean in all of this.

I’d guess that’s what they want to get to the bottom of too....I know I would. None of this well I talked with so and so crap and……what did the emails say, per and simple…and what did my husband, dad, friend say…once again per & simple.

The headlines would led you to believe that Joe Pa lead them off the case, but nothing produced proves that. They want to know, I would too…..wouldn't you?

They're not going to have any emails from Paterno, so his family is going to say that nothing the other men have to say can be proven to be true.
 
I agree with them. Truth shall set them free. Why hide some of these e-mails and release others?

Its not going to matter to the lunatic part of the PSU fan base that is still backing JoePa. He did not use email so there will never be an email that was sent from him or sent to him.

Those idiots are going to continue to say it is second hand information in the emails that are nailing Paterno and they will not accept it. Its pretty sad actually.

What’s sad is we don't know anything….so someone reports there are emails and Joe Pa is implicated. Then it says such and such talked with Joe and thought about it and is now going another way…….and you think it’s sad because people want to know what is really out there…?!?!

What’s sad is we once again have very little information and yet here we are again. Two sides one frantically defending Joe Pa and the other side ready to hang him and that is how we are trained to be…..somebody and "lots of them" dropped the ball out there....lets find out who. Not just blame the dead guy! Let’s go after the guys who can be incarcerated.

I just think all the emails that have yet to be released are going to be similar in context. "Joe said this" or "Joe wants us to do this". We arent going to get the smoking gun on Paterno.

And Paterno is always going to be the focal point of these stories, because he is by far the most famous of all the people involved.

He's also the one who pulled all the levers.

The BOT fired him, but were under immense public pressure to do so.

After the 2004 season the president and AD of PSU went to Joe's house and asked him to step down as coach. Joe kicked them out of his house. No single person at the University was as powerful as Joe Paterno.
 
He quit, which many people seem to forget. He quit, effective at the end of the season. Then included some BS "those people better not spend one minute thinking about me", which was a veiled shot at the BOT.

Only at that point did the BOT "fire" him. I don't think they would have had the balls to actually fire him.

JoePa was the most powerful person in Pennsylvania.

CM,

Name one other coach that could do this and it would work? One. Look if you believe that Joe did nothing that is your business but you can't deny fact. The fact is Joe was not only the HC of their football team but he WAS the most powerful person at PSU whether you want to believe that or not it's up to you. Again go ahead and ask any PSU fan and they will tell you it's true. Besides the example above there are plenty of other things that he did that went above and beyond what a coach at any other school would get away with. Again that is a fact.

By the way if KF had half the power that JoePa did, Coker would be working out with the rest of his Iowa teammates this summer.
