Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald says he's "perplexed" by some of things he's heard nationally about Iowa. He says the Hawkeyes, who beat the Wildcats 40-10 last month, are a great team and for them to not get respect in some quarters is "baffling to me."

Its not overblown according to the Northwestern players who run and were guests on the Northwestern Huddlepass podcast. They all attested he HATES Iowa.

Amazing how a coach comes across praising a team that beat them by 30 pts. Whether he hates us or not, what can he say negatively about Iowa that doesn't comeback to bite him and his team tenfold.
