Yes, but there was no attack, no urgency. Playcalling was to keep the lead, not enlarge it. To keep the qb in an easy game managing way. If Padilla gets the next start, and he gets to work all week with the number 1's, the game plan would be different. We have tough games ahead, the way we played this past Saturday will lose them all.
I should have added that it was as much on the OC as it was on the Oline. I get playing to keep the lead, but IMO when you have a QB with as little experience as Padilla filling in for an injured player you play not only for that game, but what's to come. A win is a win, but IMO our staff owed it to our offense to keep the foot on the gas. So as I said Padilla lit a spark, but we could have started a fire. I just don't see 1 quarter carrying momentum into the next game to the level that 3 quarters of inspired football would have done.
