After this season of sitting on my butt and watching Iowa play every saturday...I unfortuantly put on some weight...so im trying this new "craze" p90x...tommorrow...ill let you know how it goes!

I did p90x aug-oct. It was good. I didn't do the diet and I didn't do the yoga, otherwise I was pretty consistant. I coach HS wrestling, so I will do it again once the season is over. Good Luck

Stormin did it too I think.

Same here, except I technically didn't do the workout either. Been going solid now for 25 years.

Hell YES! .. I got the prequel Power 90 to help "get in shape" for P90X. I'll be starting P90X in March.. Already got my PowerBlocks adjustable dumbbells and they're awesome.. Maybe we can let each other know our progress?

I did p90x April-June and lost about 30 pounds. I gained some of it back the last couple months and actually started it again this morning. I definitely recommend it to anyone.

I did P90x two years ago and lost about 25 lbs in 90 days. Diet is key, I ate fewer calories than the program suggested, because I wanted to lose the fat faster. The workouts are challenging and 6 days a week. At the end, I was cut and in the best shape of my life. Sadly, I am a fatty again but I am set to start the program again next week.

Good luck P90xers!

Just started it last week. The workouts are no joke. Intense. I did some research and some of the Yoga stuff they have you do are the hardest yoga poses there are. But they say that from the get go....that its intense. Doing the diet is key though. You have to do the diet and you can't skip the Yoga.

Also, my one complaint is that the first time through the work outs I felt lost at times. They go right into each exercise without much explanation or demonstration, especially Yoga. Now I have it down but the first week I felt myself stopping and having to watch what the dude was doing.

Oh yeah he's also a tool. Too many "bro's.....and MY BROTHA" for me. Kinda cheesy. But the guy is an animal.

Yep, I did.

A lot of people I talked to about it said it was very tough, intense, etc...

While I'll admit, it was tough, the hardest part was finding the time to do it. It absolutely worth it, but if you are going to do it BE SURE to follow the meal plans too or you won't get the results.

I am going to do it again soon, but I have to wait for my rotator cuff to heal.

I have pics posted on my fatty blog, but due to the embarrassment from Photoshop experts out there, I will refrain from posting. ;)

You can most certainly not do Yoga - just replace it with another workout such as Cardio X. Yoga is not essential.

I did the same thing.

I got through Yoga about three or four times and said screw it. It was hard and took way too much time. I subbed in Cardio X and it worked fine for me.

If you can do Yoga and you have time, go ahead, but don't beat yourself up over it.

With anything like this, P90x, Farrells, etc, the diet is just as important as anything and if you really want results, the diet is likely going to be your biggest ally.

I did Farrell's last year at this time...in the first five weeks with just 60% attendance in the six day a week classes, and skipping the leg workouts entirely, I lost three and a half inches on my waist. Also doubled my pushups in the how many can you do in 60 seconds from the starting date...

But I was consistent, and militant with the diet.

I've been working in an office since college, almost 5 years now. I've maintained right around 190-195 the whole time, while doing P90x (2 attempts lasted 9 weeks each) and hitting up the gym pretty regularly (3x a week on avg). My goal is always to cut weight, down to 175-180 would be ideal. I hit 180 last year, after about 6 weeks of simply not eating as much, not additional workouts or anything else. Just food intake. It is amazing what diet does, it is huge. The body doesn't really need that much food to function.

I came close to buying P90X, but didn't have any of the weights or pull-up bar that are needed. I opted for Insanity and hope to start Monday, along with my usual gym routine for weights (if there's anything left in the tank!). Anyone else try Insanity?

Yeah I got my first "sit down" job 6 months ago and it's really starting to take its tole. Maybe I should check into this.
