Over/Under: Izzo Game Changing BS Calls He Gets

Ok. The game is at home, but I'll set the over/under at 2.5 for BS calls Izzo lobbies for & gets that have an impact on the game.

Over or under?

over, going w/3 and they come at a bad time for the Hawks, stops big "mo", and somehow turns the tide....this game is crucial for Iowa, and probably even more so for the "IZ"....Fran needs to keep his cool in this one.....

Under.. It's in carver.. Stop whining!!

So now we whining about officiating before the game even starts. That makes perfect sense.

I can't stand BB Threads anymore for this reason it becomes a crying game..

I love the simple fact that fans never acknowledge the close calls that do go our way but can't believe when a 50/50 call goes the other way.

Last year's game was in Carver too.

I absolutely hate this conference when it comes to basketball refereeing as you never freaking know what you are going to get from one night to the next. No other conference in America has officiating that even approaches the putridness that is B1G officiating.

Case in point, last night Wisconsin shoots 31 free throws to Purdue's 7. 31-7? Are you freaking kidding me? But because it was Bo, at home, would you expect anything less?

I am absolutely expecting to get completely hosed by the refs tonight because I've seen this movie so many times already.

I've done a lot less complaining about officiating this year, but we do need to remember that Mich St. has a good theatre department.

Nice knowing ya. Geez. It's just a lighthearted thread. Try some Xanax or something. Just all in good fun.

Yep. That kind of BS. Seems to happen all the time with Mich St.

Purdue has 2 7'ers that apparently never get fouled.

MSU isn't as physical as they have been in the past. I think that plays into getting calls or not getting calls. But there's always a couple calls that are head scratchers and go there way.

Stop whining. You're serious. We should stop whining. After how many years in a row that Iowa has had victories taken away because of BS fouls.

If you don't like it walk away, but don't try to talk down to those who actually watch the games you fool.

I think from the original post it would be WAY OVER, if you count the fouls on the MSU bullies that won't get called. They will push and shove our skinny bigs around and not get called.

So 2 or 3 whistles that get called going the wrong way sounds about right... but B1G officials always let Izzo's bullies throw people around and don't call it.

This could be a rough night... I sure hope not, but I have seen too much of the way MSU plays to think otherwise. They really aren't that "talented" this year like in past years, either. So ... I think Izzo will really push their kids to be even more physical than usual.

just my 2 cents... I have been wrong before.

How many years in a row is it?? Was one of those 19 MSU fouls on Iowa last year BS? So I'm guessing that all 29 called on MSU were spot on great calls.. It's officiating man. Grow a pair and watch the game.. I do..

Like last year's game.. :) MSU was called for 29 fouls to our 19.. The one where we went to the line 43 times and made 30 of them and we lost by 2 in OT.. That game?? I watch the games too you fool.. :)

I'm chill Melrose, but one thing that gets me going is those that blame games on Officiating, I get it when it's warranted but that rarely happens for me.. Tonight will most likely be know different.. If Iowa plays better than MSU we will win despite officiating.. The Gameday Threads especially the Basketball one if Iowa is in a tough hard fought games it turns and gets unreadable for me because many go microscopic evaluations on Officiating and it gets to be over the top for me.. Officials have very tough job especially in BB but they are not out to get Iowa as much as some Hawk fans think they are.. I just find it lame.
