Our Team is average, get use to it.

1. Our O.L. is good run blocking, poor pass blocking.

2. Our RBs our good because we have good run blocking, they are not great.

3. Our W/R are average to poor.

4. Our TE, we are no longer TE University anymore.

5. Our QB was great till he came to Iowa SEE ABOVE.

6. D.L. is good, but cant get to the qb.

7. L.B. average.

8. Backs are disappointing when it comes to good teams.

S.T.- are good, I do miss Cooper but who wouldnt.

o-line
There were several plays yesterday where G had 4 years to throw the ball. Sometimes he took 5.
Sure, some of them he scrambled. But he had turf to scramble to. On most passing plays, he had more than enough time.

I have felt for the QBs in the recent past because the o-line wasn't cutting it. I did not see that yesterday.

I am also not ready to lay it at the feet of G. Something is systemically wrong with the program's offense. The data is there.

Yes, they are not getting to the quarterback. But they are disrupting the quarterback. Albany had one successful drive. ISU had one drive that require a fluke catch and great catch on a poorly thrown broken play. Becht's numbers looked like McNamara numbers.

Linebackers
Nothing flashy, sure. But i can't point to one instance yesterday where they got burned, screwed up, oe didnt do what they're supposed to do.

Yes, we all miss DeJean. Wetjen and Dakins didnt have a great day yesterday.


But....
This is all my problem with this team, and increasingly with Ferentz. The passing game is horrendous. I'm not playing this game anymore. "Good defense; all we need is an offense with some average ability"
