Our Schedule, have you noticed?

That was my first thought, but after thinking about it for a while, I'm not so sure its as easy as some people think. If you compare the 2018 schedule to the one in 2017 the only glaring difference is we don't play Ohio St. The other 11 games are pretty comparable IMO. Remember the 2017 schedule was ranked the fifth toughest in the country by sagarin. So if 11 games out of 12 are against similar competition, is the overall SOS that much different?

I mentioned Ohio St. Penn St will still be very tough without Saquon Barkley, especially in Happy Valley. Is North Texas really any better than UNI? I'll give you Mich St, but i think several other teams, like Nebraska and Illinois will be improved over last year. You also mentioned how Maryland could be a sleeper team in another post, and I agree with that. I also think N. Illinois is just as good as Wyoming, probably better.

Iowa's SOS wont be top 5 like last year, but I'd be willing to bet its still top 25..

Well, Iowa was once a respected, ranked team. Now they are scarcely ranked and stay below the radar in nearly every possible way.

Ya good thing we stayed "under the radar" during that 12-0 regular season. I mean it would have sucked to have national shock jocks calling us pretenders and stuff. Good thing no one knows who we are because we don't ever shine.

Fewer home games during the cold months more home games during the warm months sounds like a win to me.
