OT: Creekmur Finally Commits Somewhere

What an long,strange trip it's been for Chanse.
I guess Herb Sendek,who does play a bit of a control game, needs a shooter?
From James Harden to Chanse Creekmur?....whoa...big shoes to fill.

Part of me is glad he will be out of the area...don't need him haunting the Hawks.
Part of me is envious...ASU? Sunshine and blondes for 4 years? Could be worse.

Harden is in the NBA this year, so he won't be replacing him. Sendek plays a type of "slow ball" as well, so this commitment seems to make sense for a shooter like Creekmur.
 
Good for him I suppose, I went to the Marshalltown vs Ames game last week to watch Harrison Barnes mostly but to see how Creekmur would do too, but he didn't play, got caught smokin dope
 
ASU is a solid program under Sendek, so good for Chanse. However, his was one of the strangest recruiting sagas I can recall Iowa being involved with, and if anything it got stranger after we were out of it.

Agree. I'm glad Iowa got out of it, it allowed Todd to bring in McCabe instead.

yea, I know, just saying the contrast between these two ASU shooting guards will be interesting for ASU bb fans...one year removed or not..:)
 
A friend of mike that went to ASU said they really wanted McCabe and Creekmur was a fall back. He wasn't sure how much less of a player Creekmur was, but they really liked McCabe.

Glad he is not gonna be a hawkeye then... We don't need another freshmen coming in and making similar mistakes to Tucker's.

The fact that his dad was late getting into the dome for his son's state championship game because he was in the parking lot "having fun" says enough about this kids morals and decision making ability.

I am not one to pass judgment, but this kid has rubbed me the wrong way with his inconsistencies.

With that, I wish him the best at ASU
