This is all my opinion but it seems to me the only reason that 2* guys and walk-ons play is because too many of the higher rated guys either don't have the work ethic or they don't seem to do as they are told which is KF's system is based on technique, fundamentals and smart assignment football. Seems like the lesser rated guys are going to play smart and not get burnt out of position. Although with all the attrition and injuries the last couple years more of the less talented guys have played and are still getting burnt and or playing out of position.
KF's "coach speak" seems to point towards technique and fundamentals, everyone else calls it "playing dumb" or he doesn't care just because he doesn't spell it out for them like Fran does.
Personally, I don't care if they are 3*, 4* or 5* just not walk-ons and 2* guys. The occasional guy who proves himself is one thing but this coaching staff needs work with better talent and get them to buy into the system they want to put on the field not just the school and program.
who has him rated him a 3*?
Rivals and ESPN have not put out their list of stars, and he is on ESPN WL
and at 6'7 340 lbs by one site and 6'8 375 lbs on another site, that's Wisconsin size OL and most know how that works for a power running game not to mention as big change from the under 295 lb linemen KF likes to get, looks like Brian is influencing his father view on the OL recruiting

but if would take va look at who they nhave offered its definitely showing a trend of getting bigger players.
Prince WL 6'7 300 LBS
Johnson WL 6'6 320 LBS
Render 6'4 304 lbs, all have offers
even some of the guards are bigger
than the ussual 270-275 lb players Iowa gets
Jones 6'5 WL 285 lbs
Peirschbacker is the exception, WL 6'4 269 LBS Iowa kid
as is Smith out of Kansas but is a WL kid 6'6 265 lbs

I’m gonna go ahead and assume that was a shot in the dark before he received any offers.
He has the most impressive offer list as any ’14 lineman and I would be shocked if he weren’t a 5* when they’re updated.

One year with o'doyle and he could easily be seven foot....
I am guessing he will be a 4* at least but yeah I think it is too early to focus on him only being a 3* right now.

He's probably more like 6'7"-6'8". I've never heard of anyone that tall and being successful. Ogden was 6'9" and one of the best O-Linemen of all-time and had incredible athleticism for someone that height. It would be nice to land him to pair with Ross to have on the line for 4 years.

I disagree. I think Manut Bol could have been a hell of an offensive tackle.
