Oregon fans suck.

When they show the aerial shot of the Rose Bowl...so much more red. It's gotta be 65-70%. Plus it's very close to Oregon compared to Wisconsin and the Oregon fans still don't care enough to show up.

Oregon is famous for having one ******* fan who happened to get rich by abusing third world children to make shoes in sweatshops. He's their one big fan. Congrat's Oregon. Can't wait to see your next uniform.

Uhhh.....BOregon has been relevant in college football for about three years.
Wisconsin is OG and has legions of fans, literally generations of them.
How do you not know this??

you do know that Wisconsin doesn't have much football history to speak of before 1990 right?

Sounds like a personal problem to me

I can hear the jealousy....lol

Fact of the matter is that Oregon would destroy us and they're only on the up and up.

Well Wisconsin was dominate in the early 1900's as well.

If by dominant you mean 3 Big 10 championships between 1900-1940, then sure they were dominant.

Look, I didn't say they had zero history, but they weren't exactly Notre Dame before Alvarez.

I can hear the illiteracy...lol

Fact of the matter is I never said anything about that in my post. They're very good and we're not. I'll be the first to admit that.

Their fans are still worthless.

If you actually disagree with me you must think their fans are wonderful. Do you think their fans are great for staying home from the Rose Bowl? Please explain. :)

I think you are not smart. If you disagree with me then you must think you're a genius.

I lived in Oregon for about five years in the very early 90s. Iowa happened to make the trek to Eugene to play the Ducks. I think it was 1993 or 94. Just so happens that win against Iowa was the slow beginning of Oregon football becoming relevant again.

When I lived in Oregon the residents (especially those outside Eugene) could care less about Oregon or Oregon State. The fan bases for both schools were very lethargic. The crowd at the Iowa/Oregon game was more like a baseball crowd. Nothing like it is today.

Oregon completely did a 180 with its stadium; overall facilities, and atmosphere. With the Oregon of today I would not be surprised if some day the program is found to have violated recruiting rules, etc. I am only saying this because I witnessed first hand the quality of players the Ducks were attracting back then compared to now. All of a sudden Oregon is beating out the USCs of the world for recruits. It is completely a different atmosphere at Oregon nowadays. I was very surprised at the non-interest of both schools ... The people in Oregon were really not diehard sports fans. The Trailblazers definitely had their support but most of those fans were contained within Portland ...

With the flashy uniforms and major upgraded facilities ... Oregon is "buying" its success one way or another ...

The OP is way off base. Maybe Oregon is good in large part due to Phil Knight, but their fans do not "suck". The amount of green and yellow regalia Oregon is really amazing, all season long. More colors than I saw from Hawk fans when I lived in Iowa.
And generally they're good people.
Same for Beaver fans who support a generally crappy program unabashedly.

Wisconsin has a much larger fan base along with some tradition.

Oregon is the "new kid on the block."

Penn State has a lot more fans than Houston, but does that make Houston's fans worthless? Nope.

Also, until the actual numbers are official, how can you say how many fans from each school were there?

A lot of fans of college football end up going to the Rose Bowl.

Guess what color most Rose Bowl and Rose Bowl Parade shirts are? Red.

Now sit down.

Yeah something does not seem right with Oregon all of the sudden becoming a dominate force in college football and getting all these top notch recruits to go there.

Thank's to you and DesMoinesHawki for responding to the points of my actual post. I do disagree with a couple of your points.

First, I'd never expect a conference USA team like Houston to have the number of fans that a Pac 12 or Big Ten team would have. If Oregon was a Conference USA team I'd never say a thing.

Second, if there was an entire section filled with thousands of fans right in the middle of the Oregon side who all wore red "Rose Bowl" or "Rose Bowl Parade" shirts..pardon my french, but I just don't think that's true.

Even though you and I disagree I appreciate the fact that you didn't call me names anonymously on the internet.

You called an entire fanbase worthless anonymously on the internet. You had it coming. When you say outlandish things, don't cry when you get called out about it

There's no question that Oregon is not anywhere NEAR then top 25 in terms of their fan base.....but they are pretty good on the field.

They started getting good in the early 2000's and by the time Chip Kelly took over, changed up the offense, they were good to go. And when you're back to back to back champions of your conference you're bound to bring in top notch recruits. It makes sense that all the LA kids go to the school that beats USC regularly. (This year does not count)
