There were quite a few fans there this time around, I'm sure someone besides me can give a good analysis of what went on at the practice. I was only able to stick around and watch for 10 minutes, but in that time I was able to see that things were moving fluently to how Fran would want them to be, and to put it simply I would say they were in a get **** done mode. They were going very hard and at the same time you could tell they were enjoying themselves. It looks like the practices are paying off with the team continuity, everything looks really fluid and and everyone is comfortable with what is going on.
I was also at Fridays practice for about 25 minutes, and all I have to say about that one is this: Zach McCabe doesn't miss. He is going to be a valuable STARTER, you can tell the coaching staff is really enjoying having him come on the way he seems to be, and that the players are all very comfortable with him as an offensive weapon. He legit made 6 threes in a row, the students that were attending the practice to pick up season tickets were very impressed by him. Also, from sitting near the court I was able to see just how much Brommer bulked up. He looks very comfortable with the ball and was able to position himself down low so that he could make good moves to the basket whenever he got the ball.
A couple more things, Devon Archie drove down thru the lane and threw down a monstrous dunk. Unfortunately a play after that he left to the sideline limping because of his knee, it didn't look good but since nothing has been made official by the school, I'm assuming its nothing to be too concerned about. Finally, I'm a little concerned about Cole. I didn't see him practice both friday and saturday, both days he was on the sideline just playing with a ball in his hands. I don't know what to put into this, but he's obviously a key part of the team and I would think that we would see him practicing a bit more. Thats all I have to offer right now.
