Only two big B1G Ten games this weekend

One problem with the divisional alignments is there are not any big games in the East Division this year (EDIT: I meant to say this week). We dont really care much about the East division except for who the hawks next week opponent is playing. But this week Maryland has a bye. Some poor games in the East, PSU at Mich, yawn

Here are the West Division games that most of you already know about but really only two big games, of course the Hawks need to win and Minny needs to win to keep jNW from going 3-0 and winning a second game on the road.

Would love to see Purdue get a huge upset but Purdue is in our division so they need to lose.

Ill at Wisky wisky probably wins but I would love to see the Illini pull the upset
IU at Iowa Go hawks
jNW at Minny Go minny, did I just say that, well cats need a loss
Purdue at MSU No late game let down by Sparty, poor purdue
Nebby with the bye

Other team of note is Maryland with a bye ahead of Iowa game

I hate to say it but before divisions it seemed most games were important.

All of this and yet Iowa can't get a game on the Big 10 network. I think they had to give Maryland and Rutgers air time so they took it from Iowa. Fear not, they will be broadcasting an Iowa women's volleyball match in the next 7 days.

Please please no Beth Mowins...I beg of you...I have to put the dog in the basement because he craps all over whenever he hears her voice. He just looks at me like I'm crazy for listening to it.

Not bad, it could be a lot worse.

Went to that link and Paul Burmeister is calling a game on NBCSN, is Paul not at NFL Network anymore?

I think these guys called the IA/Pitt game (and we won).......Maybe these guys are good luck.....:)

Probably some guy named Pam

It happens to be a season with two bye weeks....has nothing to do with divisions. Not sure your point. There are ten Big Ten teams playing each other tomorrow.....what is your point? When did bottom feeders matching up ever matter in this league? I think there are three very interesting games this weekend....Iowa vs IU, Minny vs NW, Mich vs PSU....the other two are weak sisters vs power teams, so they might be blowouts...that never happened before divisions? What?

Maybe we need to expand again so there are more good matchups? Like UVA. vs Texas...new Big Ten members?

Burmeister was on the Mike Hlas podcast this week. Burmeister left NFL Network after ten years for this NBCSN job. He apparently has a daily show at 430pm during the week. He called it a big opportunity for him.

Are you serious? How does Mich vs Penn St really mean anything to the hawks now? Any time two east division teams play each other it has no effect on the Hawks standings. The only effect it might have is down the road if the hawks play in the B1G 10 champ game. It might have a little effect on bowl game seeding but much of that choice is political and economics.

Before divisions it used to matter. If no divisions right now we would want Mich to beat Penn St so PSU doesnt get a road win and because they are ahead of Mich in the standings. But that doesnt mean crap anymore except for speculating who might win the East Division. And if the hawks arent in the Big Champ Game it dont matter except for bowls.

I am only interested in West Division teams, besides Iowa, losing to East Division teams like Nebby last week

Now I will probably watch MSU vs OSU because that game will probably determine the East Champion.

Ok, I guess I get your point....you dislike divisions, which came into the league like 4 years ago. I am still interested in the East matchups because I am a Big Ten football fan, and I like following the teams that we will play in the years to come...but, hey, if you have no interest, fine....just be angry for the next 100 years. Do you like college football? If you do, then you probably watch some games around the country that will not directly affect Iowa's chances to win the West.

The light schedule is because of the calendar that resulted in two bye weeks this season...has nothing to do with divisions.
I saw that South Carolina has played 5 SEC games while Mizzou has played 1 SEC game....look for more jumbled schedules as leagues push more early league games.
