One thing that really bothers me

Well, the most outrageous non-call happened in the Northwestern/Nebraska game. Fast forward to the 3:30 mark of the video. Game tied late in the 4th quarter and Northwestern moving. How is this not pass interference?

I don't know but that is now two consecutive games, on the road, where Northwestern has forced two high powered offenses to punch below their weight.

That may not bode well for us. That is a game we simply cannot afford to lose this year. We can't.

There is a lot of blame to go around. Totally agree with you people but nothing is going to change as long as BF is the OC. New England O is built around tight ends, I do not see very good play from our tight ends. Also who cares about Nebraska?

What bothers me is Iowa OFFENSIVE coaching staff can't make adjustments during the course of a game. If iowas OL coach can't prepare his players better than this then he needs replaced.

fixed it for ya. After 2 possessions, Phil changed things and MIchigan was held in check.

yeah there was a lot of game after this specific play but if you realize they didn't call that egregious call of a hold on martin in the end zone on third down, that play was huge. why so huge. if they call that hold we have first and goal at like the 2. 10-7, whole different ball game.

Yep. And the one official was already signalling "uncatchable" before the ball got there. And "uncatchable" doesn't obfuscate "holding". That would have changed things, for sure.

That said, people aren't giving Michigan enough credit. They brought pressure from all angles, and the Hawks weren't dealing with it very well. And as much as people want to jump on Stanley--and yes, 3 INTs is never "good"--he didn't have NEARLY as "bad" a game as most of his teammates. And his last play, switching to his left hand and completing it to Goodson, is something NO other Hawk QB in memory could pull off.

Give Michigan a little credit. They brought pressure from everywhere, and the players weren't adjusting to it well enough.

What bothers me is that in 3 big game road games (Wisc 2017, PSU 2018, Michigan 2019), we haven’t scored a single offensive TD.
I don't understand why Kirk Ferentz teams just never seem to show up in the big road games. It's like they come out onto the field and there just is nothing there.

Correct as one thing that bothers me is we dont have Goodson and Sargent/IKM both in the game on many plays against that blitz. Just swing those running backs out of the backfield at the snap and throw the one that is not covered because his man guarding him blitzed.

LIke a long handoff to our best runners in open space.

The Sargeant fumble was very odd to say the least. Unless I’m missing something there was no reason to fumble that.

I am pretty sure the ball was punched out but at the same time I think his knee was down and I thought the league reviewed all turnovers.

They used to in 2002, 2009, 2003 and 04 where they had a great run on the road winning at wisky, psu, and msu. But Stanzi I think had ice in his veins and they had a great defense, oh wait we have perhaps a great defense this year.

Was a game that didn't mean shit to us and our offense played like shit.

I'm almost glad we lost in the exact fashion we did. If that doesn't make our guys do a gut check I don't know what will.
I feel bad for Penn State because we are going to be pissing vinegar at the exact time we need to be.

When we're playing for a big10 championship this year be sure to send ol khaki pants a thank you card.

Please tell me how the Mich game didnt mean shit to us, the team and the fans????

Sunday drinking is fun....am I right?

It was unbelievable. Wr got tackled...no call.

Something that really bothers me is total abandonment of running the ball. about 5 different occasions we had 2nd and 6 or less or 3rd and 5 or less...inside their 40, very close to fg position. All passes.

Especially on the 3rd and 5vthatcwe then went on 4th.

I get trying to break tendencies...but to me this us poor playcalling. I know we weren't running great, but if you pick up even just 2-3 yards on a couple of those.... you get drives alive on at least 2-3 of those drives and likely get at least a shot at a couple fgs.

Between that, the oline play, and making Zero adjustments with quick passes-moving the pocket-checkdowns-max protect etc.

To me, these are far more concerning than Stanley's below avg day. He ate some sacks he shouldn't have, first interception was on him, but overall, the above was far bigger issue.

You know what bothers me? Army went hat on hat and threw the ball like 5 times and had a far better offensive game than we did. Wisconsin put like 9 linemen on the field, telegraphed run, and was able to run. If you have a damned jumbo package, just run it and make Michigan stop the damned thing. You don't have to get cute and try to run it out of 4 wide with a bunch of pre-snap motion.

You realize that 04 is the last year you listed, that was 15 years ago!
