When Iowa beats tOSU, in this scenario, LSU moves up and Nd moves in. Neither loses the rest of the year. Iowa jumps B12 undefeated to be at 5 if we're lucky.

There is no way LSU stays in the top 4 after that beatdown. And even if they do, there is also very little chance that an SEC team that doesn't win it's own division makes the playoff. The week to week rankings mean nothing. In the end, the committee will choose the 4 teams they want, and then adjust the rankings accordingly - which is exactly what they did to TCU last year.

3 of the top 8 just lost yesterday. There is plenty of football remaining. There will be several more losses by teams ranked higher than Iowa. The madness has just begun. No teams are anywhere close to being locks to make the playoff, yet.
