On to MSU

Every Hawkeye fans at MSU needs to bring Q sign. WE need to tell the referees if you make a questionable call on our plays we as Qanons can tweet it out to Bill Barr. He's gonna impeach the referees who took bribes from MSU. Qanons gonna found out about bribings!

WE need to expel George Soros from this game.

I mean Garza has gotten several players / teams into foul trouble. That won’t happen under Izzo’s watchful eye.
What Izzo will do is run multiple players at him and spread the fouls around without anyone actually fouling out. I'm more concerned about Garza at the line where he continues to be down. He missed a few again last night.

This is Izzo

At Michigan State

Big10 needing MSU to stay relevant.

They need a quality win to right the ship.

It’s not Garza that we need to worry about being bodied up — it’s JoeW; when he gets bodied he iis like we all are — dust in the wind
Yeah, ESPN is already coming out with some mumble jumble about how MSU represents the B1G's best chance to win a national championship, bows to Izzo, etc.

They obviously haven't paid much attention to the league this year. Maryland is legit. Penn State could win a regional. Iowa and Illinois aren't chopped liver. Wisconsin just finds a way. Rutgers is right on the cusp, needs to learn how to win on the road.

I wouldn't want to face any of those teams in the NCAA's.

Let them talk. Iowa has the unstoppable center. Iowa has too many good ball handlers to press. Iowa has multiple quality 3 point shooters...including our bigs. When Wieskamp gets through his slump and if the rest of the rotation plays like last night and CJ gets healthy...I would be terrified to play Iowa on a neutral court. Ask Texas Tech and Cincinnati how much fun it was before we started to develop depth.

I think Luka needs to be able to make a move quickly. MSU is too athletic. Get the ball, make a decision. Shot? Or pass it back out? He will get mugged even before the game starts. Same goes for Fran and staff. Can't afford to be like OSU last night and get down by 15.

Iowa torches the nets like they did with Jok a few years ago and gets out of EL with a big road W. Also rebounding on the defensive end could help

They’ll be running the Oklahoma drill on the catch which will be described as good D by the commentators

This will be a revenge game for Luka. Last time he played there, he was 1 for 10 from the field.

Tillman will be allowed to mug Garza.

Michigan State runs a ton of pick and roll stuff and Iowa sucks at defending pick and roll. If we switch to zone we gotta hope they are missing but they are a good passing team and have some shooters.

I do not like Iowa chances, which obviously isn’t a bold take here. Hope to be proven wrong which this iowa team has done many times this year.
I'm with ya, I think Iowa is better then MSU this season, especially with a healthy CJ.....but that doesn't really matter when you go the East Lansing in February. Also, seems like teams (not just Iowa) can't shoot or defend on the road this season. I would have much rather gone up there early in the year. Not saying this is a for sure loss, but it would be one of the more surprising ones of the season full of them.

Riddle me this, why has MSU become so beatable? In early conference pay they appeared to be the Spartans of old. But they became mere mortals and started losing. Can anyone explain why?

Because B1G has really produced some good teams this season. Plus, I think all the background noise in East Lansing might be catching up across the board with all their programs.

Their freshmen aren’t 1st round NBA draft picks this year. Winston is the only Spartan that even has a chance. So there are several Big 10 teams with as much...or more...talent as MSU. All IMO...

In my opinion Sparty just doesn’t have a true robin to Winston. Tillman is more of a defense and rebounding guy and Henry really hasn’t been as consistent as they would have liked. What does this mean? It means they are asking Winston to carry more of a burden than even he can handle, it means they are asking Tillman to try to do more offensively than he can handle.

If they had a healthy Josh Langford, who could get them some easy buckets and lesson the burden on Winston and Tillman I think they probably would have won the league.

Either way this is the time of year Izzo’s teams typically start to peak. I won’t be the least bit surprised to see them make a run in March.

Interesting-the ESPN bubble watch feature as of this morning has MSU as a lock, with Iowa as a "should be in".
B10 record- Iowa 10-6, same as MSU, overall- 19-8 IA, 18-9 MSU, record against ranked teams, IA 6-3, MSU 3-4.

Typical. Why am I not surprised.
