IOWA CITY, Iowa -- SportsTravel magazine has announced that the 2012 U.S. Olympic Wrestling Trials has been nominated for a 2012 SportsTravel Award. Events are nominated by the readers of SportsTravel, the sports world's event magazine.
The event, hosted inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena on the campus of the University of Iowa, had an economic impact of more than $5 million, according to survey results released by the Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).
