Oliver Martin Back on Iowa Campus Monday, Will Join Hawkeyes This Week

Welp, that was Fast. Welcome "home"

Too bad he had to spend 2 years of eligibility before he figured out where he really wanted to be.

As Rob pointed out, there was some assistant coach drama at Iowa when he was being recruited. His choices were rational and he should be welcomed with open arms.

The kid is choosing to sit out a year instead of playing at Michigan and then coming here without sitting out. I'd say that's plenty of reason for fans to accept that he wants to be here bad.

Well we had two first round draft choice tight ends that helped in recruiting tight ends. Maybe this might jump start recruiting receivers. Especially if you don’t have to do a sleepover like Jim Harbaugh does.

Now that he’s on board time to really get our hopes up to a level far past realistic that he’s going to get a waiver and be 1st Team All B1G this season!

On a serious note this is awesome and definitely takes the pressure a bit off WR recruiting in the 2020 class. Actually feeling good about that position group going forward.

He could have grad transferred after next year? What am I missing there? Was he on pace to graduate in 3 years?

If he knew this is what he wanted, why wait? He has a year to learn and work out with the team and gain confidence of coaches.

And yes he was going to graduate. Guessing would have had to do summer courses in 2020.
