I WISH I could make something this stupid up...apparently the students are allowed to vote on a replacement for the current mascot who looks like colonel sanders, and the lead candidate?...a giant fish from Star Wars...WOW!

IMO they should get rid of any mascot and just use the symbol of the Rebel Alliance.

And have pre-game fly-overs by a squadron of X-wings. Maybe some dancing Ewoks on the sidelines. Or sand people.

It's an awesome idea, just because it isn't happening to us.

How about this hypothetical:

Let's say we had to get rid of Herky for some reason (I don't know--he has too many teeth or something, and that offends people in Missouri). Let's say we had to get a new mascot for the Hawkeyes. What would we pick?
