Olaseni Takes off from Free Throw Line Dunk

He prolly fell asleep in his recliner watching slow tempo basketball!
After his first dunk he hung on the rim a by his elbow. It was definitely more pick-up ball than anything else but happy to see all three big men (Gabe/Adam/Kyle) appear to have spent some time working on their ball handling and extending their range. Gabe is developing that 5-8ft jumper similar to Cole's senior season and Adam looked much more relaxed shooting from the elbow and even dropped in 1 or 3 from behind the arc. Meanwhile Kyle continues to show improvement and looks to have a bit more confidence but I still feel he will be on the outside looking in when it comes to playing time this season barring injuries.

Peter Jok (buckets) looked silky smooth. That guy is loaded with potential, cannot wait to see him take the court.
Kinda disappointed, no 3pt contest this year. The men might've won it this time. Maybe.....
Also, the team poster is very lame compared to last years.
And, btw, who the hell is Okey Ukah?? (Okay Oook-uh)

Sorry but I disagree that this years Team Picture is very lame. Is it a good as last no, but not as bad as you suggest.

Saw this during the football game as I'm re watching it. Thought I post it: Gesell has some ups, and Gabe is a legit 14' dunk (took off about 1' inside the FT line)

Gabe is impressive but let's see him do a break away dribbling the ball to the free throw line and then leave the ground at the free throw line and slamming it through with defenders in hot pursuit. In the forty years that I have followed Iowa basketball there was no Iowa player that could power dunk like Gerry Wright. Not even close. When there was a break away with Gerry leading the pack you stood on your feet in anticipation of what was about to happen. Simply AWESOME.

The fact that 6'10" guy can take off from the free throw line and dunk.... is meaningless. Put a defender on him, and then, and if, he does it... then you have a story.

I remember seeing Gerry doing a handspring (cartwheel? roundoff?) while palming the ball and then going up and dunking.

White's foot is awkwardly placed it the picture so it sort of looks like Marble is wearing a shoe on his hand and punting the ball with it. Then you figure it out when you look closer.
Reg Evans had that monster facial at PSU lets not forget.
