Okay. Brian Gregory is ready to interview for the Iowa job!

So let me get this, BlackGold57.

You are making fun of the guy because he has integrity? You are mocking him because he chooses to do the job he is being paid to do and give it 100% instead of looking ahead for personal gain?

Regardless of whether we would want him as our coach, I find it interesting that you choose to mock these positive character traits.

I always see people on this board talk about the high values and morals that the people of the state of Iowa have. Like somehow others in different parts of the country don't have them. So this guy seems to share those values, but you decide to make fun of him. Hmmm. Maybe some Iowans have those values, just not you? Or maybe you only value them when they are easy to have, but as soon as it gets in the way of him interviewing for the Iowa job you deride him or think he should set them aside and not give his all to his players and the school that he currently works for?

I guess that says a lot about you, BlackGold57.

I am not banging on Gregory. I am speaking to the process that has been created where coaches have long term contracts, sign extentions, and then leave. However, they say want to be at these schools.

Just look at the contracts most of these candidates have, including Gregory. They have a good year, and get an extention. They get their name dropped, and get an extention. Look at each of the candidates in the mix, Dixon, Smith, jacobson, etc. All getting extentions.

Time will tell if Coach Gregory is really a Dayton guy. I am just saying, don't be shocked if he is at Depaul very shortly. I have no problem with his comment about the NIT, more the perception that there is loyalty in this whole system. Some yes, most no.

Gee, I don't know. If Barta hasn't signed the contract, perhaps we go after Roy Williams, who almost certainly will be fired after such a disappointing year. Just think, it would be our chance to keep Harrison Barnes in state!
