He's probably a solid coach, but is he someone to bring the fanbase back together? When Barta held his presser to announce lick's firing, he really made me believe that he was going to go after a big name guy. When he said money is not an issue and that we will pay market value, I took that as he will pay $3 million per year if necessary to get "his guy".

Gregory is no more proven than Lickliter with less accolades. I think this is a blah hire if he does hire Gregory.

Last night against Illinois, Dayton used its deep bench to press man-to-man with wholesale substitutions to keep the players fresh. No Flyer played more than 30 minutes, while nine logged at least nine minutes. Six scored eight or more points.

So why don't you tell us who wouldn't fail that Iowa has a realistic shot at landing.

I think it is time people started to realize this isn't a top 20 job anymore like it once was, that may be hard to admit for some but it is real and the top tier coaches don't and won't come here. Christ the other day ESPN was talking about the openings at schools and Iowa didn't even get mentioned, what does that tell you how others view this job?
