Ohio Stadium to add 2,500 seats in 2014

I have not been to OSU or PSU but The big house is awful to watch a football game because of how big it is. If you are higher than 30 rows you can see and are a 1/4 of a mile away from the field. Its crazy hard to get season tickets at MI and if you do its all the way up at the top. I would go tailgate and then go home if that was my choice.

I've been to all three and the Big House is the worst of the 3 if you ask me just because of the set up. (at least for watching a game) There isn't an upper deck so as you get to the upper rows it's just further and further away from the field.

At PSU and OSU you are sitting in upper decks that are higher but still "feel" closer to the field.

That said OSU's stadium is hands down better than PSU's which is basically a bunch of metal bleachers stacked on one another.

Id rather sit in the last row at Kinnick than anything above row 35 at the "Big House"

Has anyone been to the big house since they added the video board? This might make it a better experience.

Its louder but I dont care to watch the game on tv at the game. Its nice for replays but Im there to see the whole field not just what the camera man is looking at.

Speaking of that, what's the status on Kinnick's monster video board?

I actually just drove by it this morning. I would say about 85% of the panels are up just a few more to go on the ends.

The old North endzone boards are gone and the new ones and the ribbon haven't been started as of yet.

Im thinking of the Boxes on the sides they added. I didnt know they were already doing things in the endzone.

I wish they would expand Kinnick by about 5k seats. They could do if they wanted to.

No. Its not that long ago that Kinnick didnt sell out consistently.

It would take 6-8 years of consecutive sellouts with a pretty good sized waiting list for season tickets to even start this discussion, IMO.

Im pretty sure season tickets have been "sold out" for at least 5 years in a row now.

I always wondered if they could fill in one corner every year for four years, that way they wouldnt need total funding, they wouldnt have to fill all the new seats right away, and it would show recruits and fans that they are constantly updating(I know they are anyways but it shows more at the stadium). I dont know if doing it in four chunks would be cost effective or what other problems that may bring up. Just a thought.

There wasn't a waiting list to get season tickets until after the 2009 season. If you wanted season tickets in April of 2009 you could have gotten them without donating.

62 out of the last 65 games have been sellouts. That is 8-9 years of sellouts

Where are these numbers coming from?

Last year against Nebraska had less than 70,000.

2008 against Purdue didn't sell out.

Neither did 2009 vs Arkansas State.

Unless those are the only 3 in the last 65 games.
