I just don't see Lovie Smith turning this garbage Illini program around. I like Smith, he seems like a good guy, but there is a reason why the Bears and Bucs fired him and he is no longer in the NFL.

I'm not sure he's made for the college (see: recruiting) game. He was a solid coach for the Bears (they've been garbage since he left), and the Bucs were starting to look promising and they fired him before he could finish what he started. I thought the Bucs fired him at least a season too soon.
