I respectfully 100% disagree. You can't make that call there it was just a total bail out when Baer was clearly going for the ball.
You say it was clear. I say it wasn't.

Of course, I've misplaced my glasses ....

What I don't like is having to call it after replay. If they're not able to determine the intent of a foul during live action then why under slow-mo replay?

I mean, if they can't replay goal tending on a hand through the hoop, or standing out-of-bounds on tie-up, then why a foul?

Replaying it on tivo

The flagrant in a close game at Carver certainly appeared to be a clean block, all things considered.....

Hosed, again by the MFing zebras.....

Tell me why was Pemsl even in the game on that last play? Why wouldn’t you have had Kreiner in the game instead? One should have as many people out there that can shoot as possible in a must score situation with less than 4 ticks. I’m not sure if TCU intended to leave Pemsl open and overplay the others but that was what they’d have drawn up if they had planned it. Pemsl and Cook this off season need to watch tape of Tim Duncan. They need to practice their 15 foot jumpers from the elbow and baseline till they can’t jump any more this off season. Too many open looks are being left on the floor by those guys because they have no mid range jumper. Pretty much that’s the only thing keeping Cook from being a one and done player. So I guess we should be fortunate he’s not that great at that yet. But I’d sure love for that to change going into next yr.

One of the major problems this season was lack of awareness concerning protecting the rim.....

How many times did Vlad loiter around the rim uncovered.....

Simply toss the ball to the uncovered russian standing directly under the basket and watch the ball roll around the basket and eventually thru the net.....

Despite the deplorable free throw % and the youth oriented turnovers, the Lads managed to make this an interesting game. NeverSayDieHawkeyes almost had what it takes to pull a win out of this mess.....

I was rather apprehensive about playing the horned frogs.....

Luck of the draw always a factor.....

NoneTheLess, an extraordinary season provided supreme enjoyment all season. One my favorite Hawkeye teams to watch, highly entertaining.....

Bring them on next season.....

Thanks, LADS.....

8-19 free throw shooting at home from big time college players is unacceptable regardless of how young they are.

Lots of work to do in the off-season. I'd start tomorrow if I were the coaching staff.

Judd Heathcote required the lads to make 10 free throws in a row to leave the practice session.....

Is there someway we can implement this technique into the fold.....?

Anyway.....When Peter and Jordan miss a free throw in one game.....

We are in trouble.....

Game Over

Am hesitantly excited about next year but unless they work on fundamentals -- defense and freaking free throw shooting (how this many guys on one team can be so god awful at shooting free throws is beyond me), we all might be very disappointed.

Oh, and can we never see Dom Uhl on the court during a game where Iowa is up or down 20 again please?!?! Dude is straight booty.

What I saw TK was Young team that grew together as a team.. I thought you of all people with your BB knowledge would see that. Guess I was wrong!

I do think the team will be better next year. But can you or someone else tell me why so many people on here keep saying they don't expect to be in the Dance next year??
I really don't understand their logic.

Apparently, they believe the schedule or at least the B1G schedule is going to be more difficult. If we miss the tourney again, I'm sure that will be the excuse, anyways.

It gets to a point where I don't understand the Iowa defense. So many guys with wide open looks from 3 point land. The main reason Iowa missed the NCAA tournament this year was their defense. Giving up 90+ points a game cost them 3 or 4 nonconference games, and then they get lit up from 3 by Indiana in the BTT and then give up 90 points vs TCU.

And then thing is...its been that way for a few years now. In the era of the 3 point shot, that is not a winning formula.

Also, if you're going to play 11 guys per game, you should be running that trap press more often. The point of using depth should be to wear the other team down. College basketball players play 2 games a week, max. They can handle it.

And whats the point Isaiah Moss starting if you're never going to play him? I remember the Minnesota game where he carried the Hawkeyes in the first half and barely played 5 minutes in the second half. He might be the only player on the team who can take his guy off the dribble and finish at the basket or hit a pull up jumper.

Your last 3 post were spot on. All of it is mind boggling. When watching these other teams play in the dance it really makes you wonder wtf Fran is doing.

That, plus his poor hands (can barely receive a bounce pass), plus his poor vision / passing, plus his horrific defense.
Cook isn't going ... well, if he's smart, shouldn't be going ... anywhere for a couple years.
