Not gonna take a side in this argument (tonight, at least) but Carr was pushed out for Rich Rod who left them in a pretty deep hole.

That deep hole wasn't that deep.

Disappointing for Michigan, but not for mortal schools. He went 3 -9, 5 - 7, then 7 -5. Kirk's first three years were 1 -10, 3-9, and 7-5.

Rich had won over 100 games as a head coach when he got to Mich. Kirk had 1 winning season, and had 12 total wins. Plus, Michigan has had more wins in a tougher division. That's not a good example.
