***OFFICIAL NBA PLAYOFF THREAD***

gotta love the guy who makes comments about an nba series two min into game one

C'mon, man... don't be a d!ck. Of your gazillion posts none have been in the moment? Of course you never just make an off hand comment.

spurs have to be thinking they stole one as manu was really the only guy who was on his game.

efficiency is key in bball and westbrook hurt the thunder by not being efficient. i was always told at worst you should score as many points as the number of shots you take (usually more). he needed to get his teammates more involved as he was off. a true pg realizes this...a shooting guard keeps shooting (possibly his team to a loss).

Westbrook: 7-21 and his 21 shots led the team. But why would you want to take the ball out of Westbrook hands?

KD only got two shots in the 4th. Passive, ball hog Westbrook or great defense by the Spurs? Probably a little of all factors but San Antonio went to another gear that last quarter..39 points is dominant considering they were down nine with 9 mins left. Pop is one of the all-time greats with his motivational tactics. Rant is over...

Quick whistles in Miami tonight.

This is gonna sound like a comment coming from a butthurt Celtics fan because thats pretty much what it is.

The officiating was pretty brutal last night. Pierce and Rondo were extremely aggressive at going to the hoop last night and shot a combined 0 free throws. LeBron and Wade were bailed out countless times.

But perhaps the most glaring stat from last night was the technical fouls. 5 for Boston (Garnett, Rondo, Allen, Rivers and Defensive 3 second) and 0 for Miami. The defensive 3 second was the obvious one. The other 4 were absolutely ridiculous calls.

Then on the other end of the court Wade is allowed to completely sag off Rondo and just camp in the lane for half the shot clock.

Expecting more of the same tomorrow night for Game 2 and maybe the Celtics will get some calls when the series goes back to Boston on Friday.

Yeah sure looked last night that the NBA wants to make sure that the Heat make it into the finals again. The T's that were handed out were really quick ones and they didn't mind letting James and wade whine all night.

I dislike both teams but the game last night was a joke job by the refs.

And let the NBA conspiracy theories begin......Poorly officiated? Yes. But lets not get crazy here.

Nice to see once again the refs still on the Heat backside letting them get away with crap left and right....NBA surely wants the heat in the finals.

Celtics got screwed last night. Two calls late that I thought could have turned the game.

My biggest issue is that the C's are tring to go inside and take it to the hole and are getting knocked down and fouled like mad and nothing is getting called, but James is treated like god and when you touch him it is a foul...heck he shot almost as many FT himself as the C's did and that is utter BS.

If this was even remotely true the best teams wouldn't be in OKC/San Antonio they would be in LA and New York.

There is absolutely no doubt the NBA wants the Heat in the Finals. Whether or not they are purposely fixing the games is another story.

Not a good day for the NBA's credibility after giving the #1 pick to the league owned (yes I know they are sold, but still) Hornets and the awful officiating against the Celtics.

So David Stern is going to compromise the credibility, the integrity, the image of the NBA to gain a few rating points by having the Heat in the finals?

Dawg, seriously think about what you are saying. Do you know what type of cooperation that kind of mandate would entail?
