OFFICIAL MAVERICKS FAN FORUM!!! HATERS WELCOME!!!

I'm a huge Dallas fan and always have been. Nowitski is probably be the best power forward of all time and Jerry Kid is playing at an unreal level considering his age. Tyrone Chander is playing solid defensive min and Ryan Terry hit some big 4th quarter shots. They may not have the firepower or star power of the big 3, but they play terrific team basketball.

As much as I've enjoyed watching Dirk elevate his play in this postseason, Tim Duncan is the best power forward of all time, IMO.

Because when it was Boston-LA in the finals every other year it made for a lot of cross country flights. I think 2-3-2 is a much better set up for the away team.

I think its better for the away team also which doesnt make sense because it seems like the team with the better record is getting a raw deal.

If that is the real reason they changed it to a 2-3-2 then that is ridiculous. What does it take to fly from Boston to LA now? 4 hours at most? And they have 2 days off between games when they change cities now.

How about the announcers in the game having full blown erections for Lebron and Wade. "Oh my gosh, Wade isn't even the best player on his own team. I mean can you believe this? Two players of this caliber on the same team. Amazing. ect, ect." No happy ending for them, cold shower.

Last night was definately when the cockyness and "Hollywood" style caught up with the heat. Like mentioned before Wade holding his follow through for 15 seconds, then lebron coming over to him and punching his chest. The heat like to celebrate a victory long before it is over. Probably won't see that stuff again. I hope the Mavs win 120-60 Sunday night. Lebron doesn't deserve to ever win a championship. Dirk does.

I bet the next time Wade makes a big three he wont hold the follow through for an extra 15 seconds

Yeah the Heat's postgame celebrating and hot dogging in the Boston and Chicago series was nauseating but at least they waited until the game was over and they had won. Last night D-Wade posing after the 3 with 7 minutes left and then the ultimate hot dog LeBron running over to join in made it that much sweeter to see them totally choke after that.

What was up with Lebrons defense in the fourth quarter. On either Dirks three or his lay in on last drive Lebron just stood next to Terry with no interest. The first quater he was much more active. He may have the talent of an all time great but his heart seems to be lacking sometimes.

The entire "hater" phenom was brought upon LeQuitter because of his pompous ego. He thinks he is entitled to be called the "the King" or the greatest based on his eight years of no championships! As a lifetime Cleveland fan I hope and pray he continues to choke when it counts. That, to me is his legacy to this point of his career. :p

Until he actually wins something, LeBron is about as much of a King as Jerry Lawler. Elvis is the only King this country has ever had

You guys crack me up. You realize you're rooting for a team that has a guy that does 3 goggles after every three he makes, as if it were a game winner and a guy who pretends to be a jet after a made basket, even in the first quarter.

As far as the game goes, Miami got away from attacking the basket which got them the lead in the first place. Wade and James had taken ridiculous shots in the first 3 quarters and most of them went in, but that's the danger of doing that too often. Bosh should never again guard Dirk in crunch time.

Bosh has been brutal the last 6 quarters. If he doesn't play at least mediocre, Dallas will win this series.

It's pretty clear that the league office gave the officials a directive to not call as many fouls on drives to the basket. This is for both sides but it takes away one of Miami's biggest strengths.

I can't think of the name of the backup center for Dallas but if he doesn't return Dallas is in trouble.

I've been on the Heat all year, but I will be very happy for Dirk if he wins one, he more than deserves it. Great finish for him.

Ahhh man, you can't do this. I realize that you probably actually would like to see Dirk win one, but this just isn't fair to everyone else! You have been predicting the Heat and talking big game about the Heat since the start. You can't tell us now that you don't care if they lose to Dirk! When the Heat win you will tell everyone that you told them so and you are the King (yup, pun intended). You can't take the easy road road and say that Dirk deserves one...that just isn't fair!

Come on...just say the the Heat will blow the Mavs out of the water the rest of the series that way when you are right I can watch you gloat in front of the Lebron haters in style! (plus I haven't watched any of the NBA playoffs so you are more or less my news to what has happened seeing as how you are evidently extremely knowledgeable about the NBA)

I'm not getting off my Heat pick. I still think they're going to win, I still think they're gonna run the NBA for the next five years, but damn it, Dirk's hard not to like.

He's got such a complete offensive game now, he's just kept improving every year, you can no longer punk him by throwing a physical-Steven Jackson type at him, he eats those guys up now. You can tell the Miami loss in '06 just kills him, and with Terry and Kidd at the guard spots he doesn't have much of a window left to get one.

But trust me, I'm not backing off my prediction, I'm not going to claim that I actually wanted Dallas to win all along or anything. So Miami wins in 6, and I'll be here to get called out if they lose.

I'm not a heat fan, but like him I've been saying for a while that the Heat would win. It's funny, I never rooted for James before he went to Miami but people went so overboard with the hate before and during the season.

That said, because I'm not a fan of Miami, it's not going to break my heart to see them lose and Dirk and Kidd to win a title. But I like to be right more than I want them to win and I still believe Miami will win this series. Interesting enough I think both wins so far have been flukes so it all evens out.

You realize LeBron and Wade went to the free throw line more in game two than they did in game 1. I do not think you can use this as a reason they lost. If you want to throw arrow at the refs, it should be why D-wade can belittle the ref and pout like a little baby after a no call and the coach of the Mav gets a Techinal foul for saying something about Lebron throwing an elbow. I think the refs did a good job in game one and game two.

The back up is B. Haywood. I think his injury will only hurt if Chandler gets in foul trouble.

Do you know what either of them said to the ref exactly? No you don't, so you can't say one was worse than the other.

I didn't say it was before this game. Compare this series against the previous playoff series against Philly, Boston, and Chicago.

I also didn't say the refs didn't do a good job. The only mistake I saw was the foul that should have been called when the defender pushed Wade in the back on the layup. But the Heat were up by 15 with seven minutes left and scored 5 points the rest of the way. That's why they lost.

The refs calling less fouls on drives isn't a bad thing it just takes away one of the Heats biggest advantages.

Also, Chandler is in foul trouble a lot which is why I think it could cause a lot of problems. Chandler is the second most important player on that team after Dirk but Haywood is important because he allows Chandler to get rest and helps him stay out of foul trouble.

You are right. I did not hear it, but the announcers did. They even said the Mavs coach should not have gotten a techinal foul. If D-wade did not get one, the Mavs coach should have not got one either.

I was assuming you were comparing game one to game two. My bad. I thought the mistake, you were refering to, was border line at best. He caught the ball to deep and was out of control. Could it have been called a foul, yes? I have seen calls like that go both ways. I have seen the elbow Lebron threw called a foul as well. They weren't horrible calls where it cost them the whole game.

Because of the lack of off. power from the Heat's centers, the Mavs main priority for their centers is to stop the drive. Chandler has said he is more aggressive because he knows Haywood can come in and be productive. Without Haywood, Chandler may not be as aggressive. So it could hinder their playing style.

I'm not 100% but I believe the announcers are on the opposite side of the court, so they wouldn't know for sure either?
