******OFFICIAL******* Iowa vs. Quincy game thread

What about coaching/substituion/rotation, Spank? Is Fran just goofing around with a bunch of combos, or is there some pattern emerging?

I take back my comment about Clemmons being an upgrade. Gesell is however!

It doesn't really matter. MG is just so freaking good, Clemmons will be the permanent backup. In that role, he looks like an upgrade to anyone Iowa has recently had. He has decent handles and seems to be in position on defense.

Needs to make sure he stays controlled and doesn't make silly turnovers.

When it comes down to it, this game tells us nothing against this level of talent.

What are you looking to be told exactly?

All exhibition games are set up to do is to get the team on the court, in a game format, run their offense and defense and see how the guys shake out.

Just trying different stuff because it's an exhibition.
But I'm confident we'll see a 10-11 man rotation.
They are going to go fast this year.

Glad they had the game vs Creighton cuz I don't know if this game is really doing anything for them....

You'd be surprised how much can be gained from implementing practice stuff in a 'game' that is low intensity like this.

Disagree on Woodbury. Could he play better? Yes. But he's also displayed his 2 best attributes: passing and perimeter defense against the pick and roll.

Think I posted wrong. I am too far from the laptop which is connected to the tv with a 6' HDMI cable. I am sitting 12' away watching my 46" Samsung. Basketball is a rather fast paced game and I like to watch it when it is online, rather than use a wireless keyboard or mouse. When it is on TV, I use my laptop to post during the game, otherwise I watch the Lads running up and down the court......

These are my thoughts as well. Maybe move Olaseni up to OK

I could see that.
He has a ton of energy and is playing hard, but still has a long ways to go on the O end. Had a guy much smaller than him block his shot.
Missed some boards - something he is in the game specifically to do, rebound.
