His read is the tackle...the tackle stepped down so followed suit to close C gap. That play is a read...if he steps down, the QB pitches the ball. If he follows the back outside, QB keeps up inside (following the pulling backside guard or tackle). What you'd like to see a little bit more of is some use of his eyes...it's almost like he followed his key blindly. I think he may have just been exhausted.
