** Official Iowa vs Michigan Game thread **

In retrospect, perhaps we should have dedicated a player to stay on Stauskas like velcro the entire game....

Perhaps Mike Gesell should have attempted one shot during the course of the game.....

We we not prepared and lost our composure. Uthoff was way off his game. We did not need Aaron shooting threes, too many turnovers and missed free throws and I refuse to mention the refs who apparently missed a few calls, not enough to hand the game to Michigan. We basically beat ourselves.....

No disgrace to lose at Michigan. They are very good.....

I expected us to lose at the Michigans.......

I think Michigan showed they are the better team. Much better with the ball than Iowa is. Not just turnovers, they just handle it better. Give them props they beat Iowa without the starting PG. Great team.

Last season Iowa was exposed by athletic teams. This time they looked much better and didn't get run out of the building when Michigan had them on the ropes.

Time to regroup. Can't sleep on Northwestern and now MSU is a must win to keep pace. Lose that one and the conference hopes are in serious trouble.
 
Well iowa outrebounded them 47 to 44. Very surprised by that.

Iowa with very little contribution from the bench, though.

REally wanted this one, but road wins are rare in this conference. We'll take care of MSU at home and NW on the road and get a win streak going. Go Hawks!!

No, we're probably second or third in the B1G. The B1G is down substantially from last year, though. But relative to the B1G, we have a dang nice team. A handful of dog crap road calls are the separating factor between us and number 1.
 
It was a tough loss at a good Michigan. Take care of business at Northwestern and other lower tier teams, which won't be any cakewalk, then win out at home, and Iowa will be in good shape.
 
At this point everyone should expect the refs to be sub par.. They've been bad on both sides all year.

At the end of the day, Iowa isn't a strong enough shooting team to overcome turnovers and poor FT shooting on the road.

Iowa outshot Michigan from the floor by a percentage point, but Michigan hit 8 of 27 threes and Iowa was 2 for 10.

This was big. Uthoff was invisible; he's not done much at all since conference play started.

You're also doing it wrong. Not because you don't proclaim that the Hawks are great...but because, like TChawk, you only have negative things to say...although...he is far worse.
