Official Iowa v Wisconsin Game Thread

I have formed a strong dislike for the Badger coach......

Why? They get a FG, it's still a two score game. Iowa got it down to the 10 with a chance at a TD, so it was a smart play.

Hawks were in this game until the end. Fell apart the last 7.5 minutes, but this one was there. Sooooo close. Hope the players regroup, kick Purdue's ***, gameplan for Michigan, and finish the year strong.

So you admire the Badger coach. How do you feel about Urban Meyer.....

Points are points at this point. Some of you seriously need to chill out and quit the whining. This game has been called great by Greg Davis as Chris Spielman has already said. He's unlike many announcers because he does know what he's talking about. The two teams are just very evenly matched, and Wisconsin is a damn good football team. I'll take a Hawkeye lead any day of the week against a team like this. Quit crying and cheer on the Hawks. This is a man's game.

Evidently everyone else knew something you didn't.

It is just a big downer almost every Sat, man! Letting games get away from that time after time. We score TD's on a couple of those possessions in the first half, put Bucky in the hole, and perhaps its a different ballgame.

Goes for the jugular. Nothing wrong with that. I see both ends of the spectrum. Some times playing aggressive costs you, sometimes playing conservative costs you. Iowa has won playing conservative. They've also lost games being (more than usual) aggressive - Northwestern several times comes to mind. NIU this year.

Whatever, if you can't stop them, then that's on you. The final score wasn't indicative of how the game was played. If it makes the Badger coach feel more secure to put an extra 7 on the board against a 4 loss team, that's fine. Hawks were close to winning that game. Some terrible drops by the receivers cost them HUGE. The plays were there.

The defense did their job. The offense picked a bad time to have their worst game of the year. That game was winnable.

Couldn't agree more. The difference between Iowa and OSU/UW isn't as big as people thought to start out the year. The difference is, those teams made plays to win the game, while Iowa left theirs on the field.

Hopefully.... HOPEFULLY that continues to change.
