We are still playing much better than I thought we would. The start of the second half will determine the outcome of the game.....
Really? Fran switched defenses but he cant be on the floor to stop penetration. We need to find someone to stop hardaway's drives. I could only fault Fran for not making his offense go through the low post.
I thought mich low post defense looked soft but the last 5 minutes the hawks hardly went inside.
too many long range misses the last 5-7 minutes

All is proceeding as predicted ... Hawks have success attacking inside. Marble is dropping shots. Hawks show flashes and keep it close until 4 minutes, when Michigan runs away.
Was hoping the 4-minute meltdon wouldn't come until 2nd half but it is what it is ... over.

If they stopped shooting them, you would have to complain about something else since that is all you do on this site. It's irritating yet funny??? I feel sorry for you with how miserable your life must be? With that being said, they are going to have to fire away threes in the second half to get back in it. I sure hope they go in.
^^ I agree up to the last 5 minutes. The hawks had that big letdown in last few minutes against iowa state, seems to be a pattern, and Fran needs to find a solution.

Michigan is very explosive and when Iowa got away from the inside out game, it opened the flood gates. Not sure why we started focusing in on the 3's.

What is irritating is Iowa got away from what was working. and if we do what you say to get back into it by firing 3's in the second half will lose by 30..

Basabe does a really nice job of feeding the post. This is something aaron white needs to improve on. Thought he had a couple missed opportunities in 1st half.

Exactly. By shooting threes so much, they not only played to their own weakness, but they also gave the UM offense an advantage on the break. I know Fran can't stop penetration, and there is pretty much no way that we can stop them from doing that. Their athletic advantage is that significant. What was upsetting is that with Morgan out of the game, that is when they started chucking deep shots. I cannot fathom why Oglesby was touching the ball more than White in those last 4 minutes. We needed to get inside, make close shots, and set up a pressure defense to keep Burke from running.
Instead, we took bad shots, and then let Burke run and serve us a lay-up fest.
haha , no kidding, the hawks played very well for 35 minutes then lost their spacing, their defense against the fastbreak, etc, you miss the 3's and the long rebounds can turn into fast break points fast.
I am seeing a repeat of the indiana game where we cant stop their guards from driving and setting up easy points.
Clemmons needs to become a defensive stopper and I hope he can.
