bad day for the defense but I'd much rather have obvious weak spots to work on in week 1 than beat the living crap out of a team on both sides of the ball and learn nothing. That happened in 2005 and look what happened the week after. This defense makes me uneasy though. They had better improve in a hurry.

Agreed. I'm really hoping this Miami offense turns out to be decent and we were just playing very soft coverage. O and D lines were not as dominant as I'd hoped they'd look.

This is a good opening win for Iowa. They were able to build a big early lead, keep most of the players healthy, work on many things, and get a lot of new players some experience in the 4th quarter.
