Official; Iowa at Nebrasa moved to Saturday at 1p

ESPN has said they will not air the game because of their other commitments. BTN was trying to find a way, but as of yet has not. Keep in mind, Iowa State, Creighton, Kansas St, Missouri, & Minnesota all play at home on Saturday. There are NO Network quality trucks in Iowa, Kansas or Nebraska. The closest trucks are Denver, Minneapolis, St Louis and Chicago. You would be hard pressed to find a truck or crew sitting idle this weekend.
 
You can solve this whole dilemma by simply attending the game in person, like me. ;)

(I currently have an extra ticket if anyone wants to join me.....serious...give me a PM if interested).
 
the longer this thing goes without a tv announcement, the more likely we will be watching dolph and bobby through the transistor
 
Hopefully none of the players had big plans for Saturday that will stay in their heads...they are human.

are you fuawking serious with this? come on, these guys are college basketball players--going to Nebraska to play a college basketball game on a Saturday afternoon. Doesn't seem all that unusual to me.

When it was going to be Thursday and they weren't playing Saturday, it is unusual. Reaching...yeah sure...but I don't know the players mindsets. Just suggesting something. So yeah fuawking serious or something like that.

What if a player's family or friend was coming to Iowa City on Saturday and they hadn't seen them in awhile could be on their mind. Part of the game though. Sorry I brought it up and made you upset that something that ludicrous would be brought up.

There is no reason The BTN can't show the game on Saturday. They can have a bare bones production. 2 or 3 cameras is OK by me and no need for announcers and mics can be set up around the court. Let college students or interns in on the production for all I care. It might be a refreshing change, especially in terms of the gawd awful announcers and color guys they often employ.

They are showing Women's BB game between WI & NW is from 12 to 2, move the start time to 11 AM if they insist on showing the game. The women's game between IU and Illy is to start at 2 PM, move that to 3 PM.

I guarantee the BTN will make a lot more coin with that change.
 
Im just gonna go ahead and say it because everyone else is thinking it. Just show the Iowa Nebraska game in place of the womens game. Nobody wants to watch womens basketball except maybe family of the players.
 
That would be a jerk move and I do not think the BTN wants to go anywhere near that. The easiest solution was to start the game at 11 instead of 1.
