I believe you. They have changed their thoughts on trying to score at the end of the half tho. He has also improved from God awful horrendous to slightly below average on 2 minute drills. I'm big time impressed with the immediate timeout on that one play. They didn't let 1 second bleed off the clock with indecisiveness.

He did have a couple chances to bleed some more time off the clock against Penn State once the clock became less of a factor, but still hurried too much. Those slight screw ups kill you when they score with 4 seconds left.

What do they do next year when AW is gone?

I think we have a freshmen running back that looks very quick and allusive. Can’t remember his name but it’s been a while since I have seen a back that quick at Iowa. Looking forward to seeing him play more.

Now where we will be feeling the pain is in our linebacker position loss. There have been several plays where our opponents would have had HUGE plays if not for spectacular defense by our linebackers.

Yea, we should NEVER expect 5-7. With the exception of Nebraska, all of these programs had worse back to back seasons than Iowa has had since 2001.

I blame both Ferentz's and a fan base that accepts mediocre results when it comes to message board ads. Lol
