They simply have better athletes. Their defensive backs have held, yes, but our receivers in general cannot get open. They have nothing to fear with Stanley throwing the ball, and our offensive line is a huge disappointment. Defensively, I'm surprised we have held up as well as we have in the defensive backfield. Our offense is just brutal though, and our defense will wear out if our offense can't sustain some drives.
 
Teams that lose the turnover battle...we know the odds there. Iowa behind in the eight ball there and is the difference. Irony coming into this one iowa was top in the country. Frustrating.
 
Iowa’s offense clicks once a year against a decent team. Then it’s all the fans talk about how Brian is amazing cause we put up 50 points against OSU two years ago!!!!!!

We can still win this game but we’ve seen this story before every damn year. We can’t sustain defense efforts like this game after game.

Not having an offense is why we are middle of the pack big10 team.

It sucks but it’s the truth. We win the division once in 10 years and we think we’re rhe same level as WI
 
Okay. Changed my game day attire from black and gold and gray. Have official Iowa gear on.

Second half is new and improved
 
Feels like we're down 20. But we get the ball to start the 2nd half to flush the turd of a 1st half.

If the middle of your offensive gets blown up every play you can’t do anything. It’s one of the few things you can’t scheme your way out of.
 
On a bright note, I like the way our DBs are playing. Stone is a stud, and I really like Johnson. He wasn't going to win that deep jump ball but was in good position. He's fast and he's not afraid to tackle. Very high ceiling with him. Oje still gives up too much cushion but he's been active out there.
 
It's amazing that iowa is ONLY down 7.

I really thought Iowa would control this game on both sides but our offense is not showing any power. I hate to say it but we have to run better to keep the pass rush off stanley

That's enough to end most games.
We need to just calm down and play ball.
