If we make a weak hire, no, I will not be celebrating. Until that happens, I will remain hopeful and excited for what might be. So at this moment, I don't know how else to feel.

I'm as apprehensive about who the next hire may be as you are and I get your point 100%, but again, there is hope right now, and that is enough to excite me.

I agree.

I cannot bring myself to celebrate a man losing his job. I will celebrate if and when the new coach is announced in order to be supportive. Barta needs to hit a home run on this.

Very true, 50% of the work is done but there is still 50% more work left to be done on this...I think right now if Pearl can't be brought in I have to think Barta's hand will be forced to Keno Davis.

I don't like this logic. We should be hiring the person that has the best chance of turning the program around not hiring someone just to appease the fanbase.

If the new coach wins games the fanbase will get behind him regardless of who it is. I don't think Keno Avis would be the right fit. Keno might appeal to members of the fanbase older than 30 years old but being the son of the guy who had a good run here 20 years ago probably wont sway many kids on its own.

Yikes! If Keno were hired the fan base would probably be more upset than if Lick was kept on. That would be a monumentally STUPID choice.

The last thing I want is for Barta to hire Keno in order to "make up" to Mr. Davis.
