!*****Official Birds @ Trains Game Thread*****!

I'm a big Fran supporter but some nights it just amazes me that he cannot see that this zone isn't working.

Might not make any difference what we do on D.....

Boilermakers On Fire Tonight

Only 24 behind. We have the fools right where we want them.....,

Not sure I have seen this before. One team is 10-17 from three, the other is 0-7 from three. Being down 24 is actually not bad (OK, it's bad). Don't think the 2nd half comeback from last year will happen here again.

Jok can be shut down by talent...like a vault...

Only player that looks like he belongs on the court vs Purdue...Baer.

Uhl has eroded...

Game of HORSE for Purdue...

Wonder how much playing time Moss has.....

Is he in Fran's hotseat.....

Not that it would make that much difference tonight. Just not the Hawks night and Purdue is very good.....

Well one team is shooting uncontested threes and the other isn't

Well ... can't make anything and can't defend anything. Pretty tough to be competitive.

Meanwhile, Fran just lies back and takes it with his idiotic commitment to the zone. His zero adjustment, disregard for game flow and constant discombobulated grasping at straws makes derKirkFer look like a genius game manager.

I'm thinking the Foster Farms bowl is looking like a pretty decent alternative. At least some interesting, entertaining and winning effort.

What bugs me the most is there is no fire in this team. Having grown up watch michael jordon play, what made him so great was his competitiveness he could not loose. Jok does not have that he seems to care less and uhl looks depressed and not interested. I would keep those who do not want to play with fire sit on the bench

Well, yeah, there is that. 30 point swing on threes in one half is amazing. Remember, Purdue went 1-11 last year in the 2nd half after going 7-14 in the 1st half. Let's hope that trend continues (and Iowa doesn't lose by 50). :)

I am not a coach, but if I was Iowa's coach, I would encourage my players to get a hand in the face of the Purdue three point jump shooters. Might work to try something different.
