Offer your ideas: Offseason Football Topics

It's going to be a priority for this site to produce as much Iowa/Big Ten and relevant college football commentary as possible between now and the Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon in late July.

If you have any ideas or thoughts as to what types of stories and commentaries you would like to see, please share them and I will take a look at them. I am sure many of us will have similar ideas, but share them anyway.

We'll be going heavy on each opponent Iowa faces next year, over the course of the next 30 days...plus relevant Big Ten & College football in general discussions.

A "Where Are They Now?" monthly segment would be cool but I know it might be hard to do. It's nothing new, but I've always enjoyed stuff that like.

That is already in the works. The author of that series will have a very, very 'Hawkeye familiar' last name. We have waited on this for the NFL season to get over so the guys are easier to get. And she will have an easy time getting these guys to call her back.

How about something on the Iowa players in the NFL that come back and work out with Coach Doyle in the offseason?

How about a weekly feature on "Hot Moms of The Hawks"...you know, if there are any...with QBs as sons...and such...

Perhaps an all-time Hawkeye team on offense and defense, even top 3-4 teams. Let people banter on players from different eras. Would Kinnick be offense or defense?

I'd really like to see a breakdown on how Coach Parker prepared the team for this game. And while we're at it, I'd love to see the same thing on O'Keefe's game planning vs. the Tech D.

How about football players who have played basketball in their past and may still be interested in playing?

Also, how does strength training vary from position to position? What do quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, linemen, linebackers, d-backs, and specialists focus on?

I like the idea of doing stories on our assistant coaches. They often go unnoticed (especially the position coaches) and I think not many people know much about them. I like the idea of learning more on the coaching staff.....

Maybe video's and information on upcoming recruits that we know are interested in Iowa? or information on possible prospects for the 2012 class?

I would like to see a story done on players who could have been on this years team. Maybe they tranfered or other reasons. Like JC and if they may have had an impact.

I like this idea, but I'm not sure how available they would be, but it would be nice to maybe have a weekly feature in the offseason on the assistant coaches. Nothing to personal but a quick bio about their background about playing days and coaching etc..with some type of interview and how they got to know KF and what it was about Iowa that made them want to come etc.....

Hey Jon did I miss the unveiling of your recruiting idea for your site?
