The negative crowd wished that was what is happening (the drake comment). They want to do everything they can to disparage Iowa or Iowa’s opponents. They can find zero joy in Iowa’s success.
I haven't done this, but I'd be interested in the results. LB keys are usually guard to near back, or a triangle read between OL, RB, and the actual snap of the ball...I'd be interested to know how often our guards take the LB's to the ball carrier. The pass game is a much more simple read, but in the run game, how often are our guards showing where the ball is going. In a zone scheme, with not a lot of counter action, I'd expect it to be a very high %.
Are you referring to the coaches or fans? I’m sure there would be some Badger fans not happy about beating a team still in the rebuilding phase by two points when they are competing for a big ten title . The coaches are never satisfied. Film room Monday can be brutal even in a three touchdown win . You can answer my question now

Definitely some truth here. While obviously coaches love to get the win by 1 or by 30, until you play a perfect game it doesn't matter how many you win by...there are still things to work on and still teaching/coaching points to instill. Coaches love to use that to keep a team grounded and to prevent them from "reading their own press clippings."

Sounds like you would be happy with only beating Drake by 3 because a win is a win . Not me I expect more . Teams should be playing their best football the second half of the season . We are hardly clicking on all cylinders . It’s a major concern
I don’t need to. You are the one who made the statement in this thread about Iowa beating Drake.... but that’s not what happened. Iowa won a conference road game 20-0. That’s the thing, I have no problem with criticism, but there is a certain group of posters in here that are nowhere near reality.
I don’t think it’s unrealistic to expect an offense with a third year OC and a third year starting QB to open up the playbook to sustain drives to cross the other teams goal line more than once or twice a game
If we ever got to the national title game we wouldn’t be playing a shitty team so a win is win in that situation
The offense has underachieved for sure but at the end of the day we are 6-2 and rated top 20 in the country. Our goal to win the west is still achievable. Maybe the offense will end up being our demise, but overall I think we have a pretty good football team.
How many of Kirks defenses have won national championships again? I don’t expect Iowa to win these titles or even compete every year for a NC title but it’s the delusional idiots who go get pissed about the hawks being criticized . Like Ferentz is a God and some world beater and is tearing it up when he has had only 5 ten win seasons . Count 9 it’s only six seasons . He isn’t lighting the world on fire .
