Offense Now Ranked Below NMSU

If I'm not mistaken we finished 121st in total offense in 2021. Staying within 10 slots of that with an admittedly more difficult schedule is pretty good and really consistent. Consistency is very important and we have achieved it. I haven't read the contracts of the staff, but I sure hope that they get consistency bonuses on top of the other bonuses they can earn.
A lot of people overlook that Brian has been able to stay within 10 spots of last year AFTER losing one of the highest drafted offensive weapons from the Big Ten in the NFL draft last year. Everybody talks about the Buckeyes losing two WRs in the first round and not skipping a beat - Brian lost an offensive player a couple picks later and just re-loaded too.

Plus the weather delays in that Nevada game. Every time things started to click the lightening would strike. Seemed to throw Petras' timing off. If that game doesn't get interrupted 7 times we're probably looking at offensive numbers that would have the ranking up a few spots, maybe even up to 120th, which would be pretty impressive to have improved upon 2021 after losing that NFL first round talent.

You can’t be serious here

Iowa is no longer the worst scoring offense in the Big Ten, they passed Northwestern! Baby steps....

I purposely showed more teams on this to point out Iowa is the only team with a winning record until you get up to San Diego State at #116.

Damn, this is great news. I don't want to put the cart before the horse here, but I think if we can do enough to just get past Western Michigan this team will wind up 8-4 and will win at least a share of the Big Ten West. Happy days ahead (if we can catch Western Michigan).

This is just another example of not posting on a forum while totally intoxicated

Iowa is now up to #124 in scoring offense! I expanded it to show the next team that has a winning record and I was shocked to learn UConn now has a winning record after they pulled off a huge upset over a ranked Liberty team that had knocked off Arkansas the previous week. Perhaps I should stop calling them one of the worst programs in college football.

Look at this. We are closing in on Western Michigan. That was what I identified as my key to getting to 8-4.

I don't see Iowa getting there unless they blow out Nebraska.
We would need about 56 points across the next 2 games. We are averaging 27 per game during this current win streak. Maybe 20 vs. Minny, 36 against Nebraska? It feels so weird even suggesting that Iowa could score 36 in a game.

Yes, the Minnesota is game #11 so that means they have to score 11 points over their average in order to move up 1 point per game. I don't see Iowa putting up 29 points against Minnesota.

Plus WMU closes the season against CMU & Toledo and neither have great defenses.

I'm putting WAY too much thought into this on a Monday. Thanks O'keefe!!!!
