I'll eat my shoe if what's behind door #3 doesn't win this
That's why this makes it difficult. I listed 2 very very very and I mean, very qualified guys for the job that have also been rumored to be front runners. Knowing our fan base and this site as well as I do, I can almost assure you that "mystery guy" is the most attractive candidate because they have some out of this world and unrealistic expectations on who Iowa is going to hire.Do you know the mystery coach? And am I going to be frustrated or excited?
I'll eat your other.I'll eat my shoe if what's behind door #3 doesn't win this
Place on slow cook for seven days. Add some leather softeners, water and cut into very small pieces.I'll eat your other.
I go with PC. Mostly due to he was most recently a HC within our league playing a similar style of smash mouth O that we'd like to do. He has recruiting ties with HS coaches within Wisconsin and the BIG footprint as well. He'd make a 10x better OC/play caller and QB coach then BF ever was. He's overqualified for it if anything.
Philbin feels like another Greg Davis yes man to me. He'd just be happy to be there getting a pay check and would cowtow to anything and everything KF would want without any dissention. We can't have that and PC at his stage of his career is way more likely to not be that then Philbin. Philbin in the past openly had said he wasn't about the recruiting aspect of things hence why he was in the pros for so long..
Well sorry sweetheart but that's a huge huge part of it along with the portal and I think as old as he is this part of the game has passed him by.
Honestly PC is about as good of an OC as we could hope to get frankly. Guys like Grubb in Washington are a pipe dream. We'd be lucky to have PC be OC for the rest of KFs career really lucky. So due to all I've said I suppose Philbin is who KF will pick.
In a perfect world I'd like to see PC as OC and Philbin take Budmayrs gig.... But I can't see that happening either.
Oh same here. Till we get Oline personnel developed/upgraded the improvement we all want will be stunted. Then another weapon at WR or two needs to happen. I love what Brown brings to the table but he won't/can't be everything. Then of course we need a QB. Ideally if Lainez would be that guy as a 6'2 225 lb mobile guy that'd be perfect. But if not him someone besides Hill has to be # 2 next yr cause he isn't it and I have little faith that Cade can play 10 plus games. He just seems like damaged goods now. I'd be tickled if he proves me wrong though. New OC no matter who it is really has their work cut out for them.Yah, I wouldn't be livid.
I wouldn't be thrilled.
I'm pretty firm on the idea that the likelihood of being thrilled is somewhere around 0.001%.
Even at any other school, I would only put that at a .01% chance. Even if it's some sort of alleged "wunderkind", I'm still skeptical until I see results and history.
I didn't put him on the list because I've already heard he was contacted and is "out"..... but yes, sure, he could be behind door # 3, but so could Brian Ferentz, Greg Davis, or any other family member of Kirks.Mystery coach = Andy Ludwig (OC Utah)??
Will you serve popcorn to your spectators?I'll eat my shoe if what's behind door #3 doesn't win this
