OC buzz in IC around Marv Cook

I've taught in both public and parochial schools and it's not as much about recruiting as it is the make up of the student body. Public schools are divided pretty evenly into thirds: jocks, nerds, and ****heads. In a parochial school, the divide is more 50-50 between jocks and nerds. The state has finally started talking about a multiplier to move parochial schools up (like most states already do) because of the unfair advantage.

What about the motorheads, sluts, and dweebies?

Thank you JM. I'm not doubting MC's coaching ability, for me to do that would be unfounded as I've only seen his teams on tv, but Regina has enormous advantages in the high school game, as does all private schools in Iowa, especially in the smaller classes.

Just curious what the advantages are. I can't think of any off the top of my head.

A full time strength and conditioning coach and thats all he does is a start for a 1A school. Especially one that has the knowledge of the Iowa strength staff and pulls in 70-80k a year for running the weight room. Im sure most 1A, or any class for that matter, have that luxury though

So which is it? $70 or $80k? Each one is a complete lie!

Funniest thing I've read all day!

The difference between a private school and a public has an age old answer. "A rich girl has a canapee over her bed and a poor girl has a canapee under her bed".

The buzz in Portlandia is that Davis is out as OC, but will remain on as scapegoat for another year or two. A guy at Voodoo Donuts with a tattoo on his face that resembled a tiger hawk said something about "keeping it in the family" which I can only assume means Kirk is going to shake things up by promoting Brian to OC, bring in James as OL coach, and bring Nathan Chandler in as QB coach to teach Steve to throw like a girl so he can start at QB next year.

instead of an OC, just put the play with circles and arows up on the score board (behind the D) before each play. QB looks up, tells the players to look up, he says hike and flawless execution ensues.

Are you a McMenamin?
