on this i think White if he continues to improve has the season goes on and makes just half the improvement from this year to next, that Marble did from last year to this year
other than Gesell and Woodbury will come in as a freshman and make an impact the dayes of having to rely on freshmen will be over, Ingram is a 2 and with Oglesby and Marble in front of him i don't see how a 3rd string sg can push ahead of those two

You guys are making my head hurt talking about players that aren't even here yet. I admire the enthusiasm don't get me wrong.

McCaffrey will change the lineup based on the opponent and how guys play during the game. One thing that he isn't afraid to do is bench guys if they are having off nights. This year he has bodies, but not the talent. Next year he will have both and be able to go big or small.

Good post. Agree that Marble seems to get better each game and it's not always his scoring. He is becoming a better decision maker / distributor and defender as well. The team really needs Cartwright to knock the dust off, as he is the only guy besides Marble that can create for others. White continues to impress and it looks like his jumper is starting to fall. Ogelsby and Gatens seem steady and both are using ball fakes instead of just catching and shooting.

We have yet to play a decent game against a good team, so Thursday night should be interesting.

I would say the hawks played a decent game against UNI. Without all the nonsense from the reffs that game would have gone down to the wire.

In 6 minutes of playing time Olaseni looked much better than Archie at any point of his career, and showed more potential than Brommer who play a ton for Lick as a freshman, Fran has brought in better talent than Lick but so has Horner and he is only a high school coach!

Lol, Abramason and Jok are certainly better than anyone Lick brought to Iowa.

I guess we do have to give him credit for Marble.

I recall last off season when many were having a meltdown about FM not signing a backup point guard. Marble can't backup BC at PG, they said.
Not only has he made them eat their words, he has all but taken BC's job away from him. I'm a huge BC fan, but Marble has truly impressed me with the strides he has made. He's doing a remarkable job.

BC has been hurt. No one is taking his job on this team.
