NW is 119th vs Pass. Will we make any scheme adjustments to test them?

Not only that, they have 2 CB's already declared out for the game, and T Magic threw for 360 yards and 3 TD's against them. I've never seen a more obvious time in my life for where we should be chucking the ball around. The injuries on the O line will hurt, but you can bet NW will make adjustments and have 8 in the box and be blitzing non stop. When are we going to make someone pay for doing this? When are we going to make adjustments to win games instead of being so stubborn and simply thinking it's only about execution.

NW has a really bad passing attack just like we do, and they are really good at running it. Will we commit extra people to stop the run and bring pressure on passing downs? Or sit back and hope a few D line stunts will cure all?

I am really hoping we pull out all the stops and throw some bubble screens...they won't know what hit them!

Iowa will adjust to make NW look like the best pass D in the conference.

Iowa's pass rush usually has a way of making the opposing team look like they have the best QB in the conference, too.

Plus, with 2 offensive linemen out, our offense should REALLY shine this week.

It makes me laugh that our passing game and their pass defense are both ranked in the hundreds. Which ever unit is able to exploit that weakness is going to be in good shape and unfortunately I'm not sure were able to take advantage of their pass defense or lack there of.

They do the same thing every week. Fitzgerald has KF's number. He knows the hawk O better than the hawks do.

I'm thinking we'll see at least one reverse or end-around in the second half by the O, given that Colter and Mark will have done it--with considerable success--a few times before then.

Fitz had Norm's number. O'Keefe put up numbers to beat him Northwestern. But Norm almost always gave up more. Phil is better than Norm, so I expect the D to bottle the Cats up, but Davis is a giant drop from O'Keefe. If the defense gives up more than 6, I think we lose.

Iowa will have receivers running wide open all day. The problem is that JVB will lock-in on the one receiver that is double-covered; or he will throw a pass that is not even within ten yards of a wide open receiver.

Just because the Wildcats can't defend the pass doesn't mean JVB will suddenly morph into Aaron Rodgers.

It was probably in the thread before, but both NW starting corners are out for this game. Look for that to not make any difference whatsoever.
