...about Chit Chat's concussion and whiplash situation, following the Lindenwood game.
It sounds like at some point during the game Chit Chat got knocked and began to feel oddly out-of-sorts, and came out of the game. She never returned out of 'caution'.
I thought Jensen's comments afterward were really odd. Rather than saying the typical "We hope to get her back to 100% as soon as possible" and leaving it at that, she implied that Chit Chat was feeling "not foggyness, but maybe the FEAR of foggyness"...i.e. maybe she wasn't really feeling something was still 'off' after getting jostled hard -- it was more "nervousness". That's a really dismissive and odd thing to say about somebody who's shown nothing but toughness and tenacity since she's joined the team. One assumes Jensen can remember what a concussion feels like -- maybe not. But add a case of whiplash onto that, and it's easy to imagine that if you get jostled hard or in a certain way on the court, your brain is not going to feel exactly as it did prior to a recent concussion & whiplash. And by that, I mean ACTUAL feelings -- your brain has been shocked and it takes time to recover -- not 'fear of those feelings', as Jensen implied. Add in the factor that Chit Chat is usually the smallest player on the court, and hits are going to affect her more than anyone else. They probably should have let her sit out this game, to give her more time to heal...the more time the better.
Jensen also said something along the lines of "I hope we can get past this, because every game going forward is a big game" -- sort of subtly implying that it's something within Chit Chat's control, that she 'just needs to get over' so she can play in the big games. I just found Jensen's choice of language very odd, and concerning, around the entire topic. if you listen to her tone of voice in the postgame presser, you'll see what I mean.
