Northwestern is now a huge game for Iowa

Not so much for dancing....as that is becoming probably unrealistic. However, the true measuring stick for this year's team is beating the lower level and mid level talent while still looking for ways to improve against the top tier.

If I Iowa can achieve 3-1 in the next 4 games, that puts us right at 4-4 in our first 8 games. Something to shoot for.

Northwestern sucks. If we don't beat them we probably don't deserve the tournament. That said, it doesn't end our chances if we do. We'd pretty much have to win every game but @OSU, @IU and @Minn.

NW does not suck. They have at least equivalent talent , possibly better than us. We have 0 shooters on this team and NW is loaded with guys who can knock down jumpers. Watching Iowa throw the ball away time after time tonight was demoralizing. Youth does not equate to mental breakdowns/

Stormin--Much respect for your opinion and contributions to the site, but what makes you think a team that might win 6 games in the big ten is a year away? I just don't see it. Too many misses on scholarships and very small margin for error given the scarcity of scoring options this team has.

Northwestern is pretty bad. Iowa is a better team.

Iowa loses Eric May and gets Peter Jok, Jarrod Uthoff, and Kyle Meyer.
They'll be an NIT team this year at minimum. Add a year to everyone on this roster and I think they are easily a preseason NCAA Tourney team.
