This is correct. Don't even have to shoot well to beat Northwestern. Just run tempo and you're bound to at least hit 65 points and beat NW 99% of the time.

I'm being totally serious with this response: we are one of the only teams that runs an offense.
Everybody I see just sets high ball screens, spreads the floor, and shoots 3s.
That's all well and good if Tony Parker is your point guard.
Illinois seems to be most guilty of this trend.

Funny. Simultaneous to when I was reading this, I was watching the beginning of Illinois' game and Illini ran the exact progression you described, concluding with Rice missing a contested 3. Next possession, Abrams bricks a 28footer early in the shot clock. Wisconsin is becoming one of the best offensive teams, imagine that.

Are there any bad coaches in the Big 10? I'm thinking Groce may be the weakest at this point. I'm not sure about Penn State and Nebraska's coaches. I don't think Matta or Crean are good in game coaches but both can recruit and that's half the battle...keeps them competitive.

I can't decide if Demps from NW is a good player or has just gotten hot at the end of 2 games NW has won. He looks good but I don't like the strategy of Groce or Crean in those games so it's hard to say. I have no doubt we will sweep NW without any problem.
