Big turnover difference in the first half, 10-3. Only one free throw attempt in the first half, something seems a little hard to believe.

I love the hawks, but watching college basketball is frustrating. NW is playing football, and yet they have been in the bonus. The arbitrary application of foul calling sometimes dictates the outcomes of games. It's silly, really.

Iowa needs to be more aggressive and drive the ball.

College basketball on the road.

...which makes college basketball ridiculous. The home team shouldn't be be able to tackle you. It always perplexes me. It's not like that is a place that intimidates the refs. I've been there several times. It's equivalent to Marshalltown's "roundhouse."

This game is way too close IMO..

Hawks needed to score 40 by half. As bad as NwU shooting and as bad as Hawks guards + Uthoff playing, if NwU within 5 - 7 under 2 minutes to go, Iowa is going to (and deserves to) lose.

The back court needs to come out with their heads on and Hawks need to blow this thing to 15 in first 5 minutes of 2nd. Anything less than that sets up for a NwU upset.

With all of the pressure D they are playing on the ball, a few backdoor cuts/lobs need to happen. Get their heads on a swivel. They currently don't respect our 3 point shooting.

I agree. The difficulty in winning on the road in this sport (at least in the conference season, it seems teams play better on the road in the non-conference season) makes it tough to watch.

Somehow I have been missed all the Big Ten hockey games. Haven't been watching the schedule very well.....
