I think Kaczenski is the most logical replacement. I would be shocked if it was an outside hire

It won't be. With the continuity Iowa has had, it only makes sense for that to be an internal hire.

Dang. This is going to hurt. I really hope he stays on staff as an advisor for the new DC. It almost has to be Parker or Kaz. I would be very surprised if it was anyone else. We're likely going to struggle a bit on D next year anyway. This definitely won't help.

You think that if Aiken expressed interest Ferentz wouldn't listen?? I'm pretty sure he would. I don't know if he would be interested or not. I think he's just the D line coach for Zona so maybe he'd like more responsibility. But while he was here, it seemed to be the popular opinion that he'd be taking over once Norm retired.

Iowa has a defensive system...whoever replaces him will do a good job.
